BQ76952: About BQ76952 how to Programming OTP?

Part Number: BQ76952

Hi, Dear TI Experts

The IC Version which I used is 7695_0_36.

Recently I'm trying to Programm OTP, the step is following this picture:

But it seems to have some problems. When I Lower the BAT Voltage, the SUV&CUV protection will be trigger. When I finished the Programming OTP, and after RESET, the BQ76952 will be Trigger SUV&CUV, in the end , it'll be into PF. All what I can do is to send "PF RESET""EXIT DEEPSLEEP""ALL FETS ON", because after all these commends was send, The BQ76952 will be normal again.

  That's all, Please help us.

  • Hi,

It looks like you are following the correct sequence to program OTP. Since the voltage used to program OTP is very low, it is not unusual to see CUV and SUV protections after the OTP is programmed. Normally OTP will be programmed in production with a lower voltage supply (10-12V) and then the device will be powered down. When the battery is connected with the proper voltage, the new OTP settings are used by the device as the default settings - at this point there should be no CUV or SUV protections triggered.

    Best regards,

    Matt
