LM74700-Q1: Can be utilize as High side driver?

Hi Team,

My customer is just looking for high side driver supporting 60V supply and integrated charge pump. They wonder if the combination of the LM74700 and B2B FETs can be utilized as the function.

Do you think it might work as they expected? 
if not, what are the concerns?

    Protection features Required : (Such as Current limit, Inrush Current protection, Reverse Current blocking, Reverse Polarity protection, etc .. )

    Thanks, I understood that they should need to take care about circuit protection point you mentioned.

    here is the information, you requested.

    Vin(Max): Typ24V (Max 60V at load dump condition) 

    Iload (max): 15A typ

    Cout (max): Load will be inductive load(No data about parasitic cap)

    Use case : Just ON/OFF control using EN pin

  • Hi Takashi Onawa,

    LM74700 does not support back to back NFET drive due to its gate drive topology. It turns off the MOSFET by connecting source to gate and hot-swap MOSFET will not turn off completely.

    You can consider using LM7480-Q1 for your application. LM7480-Q1 supports individual gate drive capability for BFET and HFET.
