We are using BQ40Z50-r1 in our battery pack Design.

The Sleep mode current is 300uA.

To put the battery in Sleep mode we have made the System present to be left floating and the current is reduced to 150uA.

But in the Datasheet(BQ40Z50-r1) it is suggested that the sleep mode current is about 75uA.

Kindly suggest a way to reduce the sleep mode current further.

(In software we have set the following registers to 1 and they are NR,IN Sys_sleep mode bit,)

Hi Wyatt,

I have shared the Necessary files to reduce the current.

Also During Our Battery Testing One of the battery went to SUV mode and 2LVL bit has been set.

But the cell voltage is above 3,5V(4S1P).Whether it is fine to replace the Fuse so that we can bring the battery to normal working Condition.

Suggest a way to resolve this error

Hello Anandan,

How are you measuring the current consumption? are you able to graph it? Sometimes we see spikes in the current but the average is meant to be at the specified 75uA.

If your fuse is blown and cannot be reset then you will have to replace the fuse. Sometimes SUV can be set from the wrong cell number configured in the gauge.

Is there anyother way to recover from CUV mode and make the battery pack tp work again??

Also we are using the panasonic cells for our new battery pack design. In this whether we can use the same gg file.The only change to be done is updating the battery chemistry.By this whether the battery can be charged ??
