UCC28C44: OUT pin output when VDD pin and COMP pin are short-circuited

Hi,

I would like to ask you about the UCC28C44 device.
What happens to the output of the OUT pin if the VDD pin and COMP pin are short-circuited?
Will it stay "L"?

    Hi Kaji! 

    Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in the UCC28C44! To answer your question, the maximum input voltage that the COMP pin is 6.3V. Applying VDD (minimum of 14.5V to begin switching and minimum of 9V to continue switching) would potentially damage the device and I strongly recommend against this. 

    If you are looking to disable the PWM output, there are two recommended methods for this, see the figure below from the datasheet:
