Hi Experts!

My customer has a board designed to use the TPS7H1101-SP, with SS pin utilized for the enable function as well as soft-start. They have the collector of a 2N2222A transistor connected to pull SS low (emitter is at GND) to disable the device.

They would like to use the newer TPS7H1101A-SP on this same board.

Is there any performance or reliability issue using the SS pin on the TPS7H1101A-SP as a shutdown function instead of using the EN pin.

Jim,

I have confirmation from design. There are no issues using the 1101A with the enable circuitry designed for the 1101.
