UCD90120A: Device Doesn't Appear to be in ROM MODE

Part Number: UCD90120A

Hi,
I'm trying to flash my UCD90120ARGCR using the Fusion Digital Power Firmware & Configuration Download Tool. I've loaded the .x0 file and the .xml, when i click the Start button an error pop up "Device does not appear to be in ROM Mode after ENABLE_ROM_MODE command; after 3.036 msec the ROM is still not responding".
Can you help to advice?

  • Hi

Could you tell where you receive the x0 file? Why do you want to update the x0 file? Customer shall not update the x0 file unless they are asked to do so.

is 78 the correct address of UCD90120A? It seems that the address is not right.

    Regards

    Yihe

  • Hi there,

The x0 file and the address 78 was all given by our customer, but since he's doing on board level flashing (meaning the IC been soldered onto the PCB) hence he doesn't know what to do with this error message that I'm getting.

He's quite sure that the .x0 and .xml file needs to be flashed into the UCD90120A with this method

  • Hello
