TPS25940: TPS25940 -Current measurement - more information required

I’d like to know whether we can measure low current values by using the IMON output.
According to the spec, on the attached graph we can see that the current measurements start from 100mA.

* Attachment 1

Though in the “Electrical Characteristics” table the Iout values are defined between 1Amp and 5Amp.

* Attachment 2

Do we have any restrictions concerning the minimal Iout current value?

    Hi Hay,

    Welcome to e2e and thanks for reaching out to us !

    The Gain factor is mentioned only across 1A- 5A range because the IMON circuit has been designed and characterized only for this range.

    For currents < 1A the IMON accuracy is not characterized and can be bad.

    Figure 24 only provides you a typical value of Current Monitor output vs Output Current. The min and Max values are dependent on accuracy which is not characterized for < 1A. 

    Hence, we would not recommend you to reply on the accuracy of IMON measurement for < 1A load current.
