CMPIN is the input to an available extra internal comparator. There are 2 internal logic thresholds that are configurable, and the output will be on CMPOUT. It is not required for normal operation and CMPIN should be tied to GND if not used.

REGN is the output of a LDO whose input is input supply or VSYS. It is used to drive the switching FET as well as BATPRESZ pullup rail. I would recommend going through the datasheet more thoroughly as there is a lot of information here.
