TPS65381A-Q1: External FET Recommendation

Part Number: TPS65381A-Q1

Hi Team,

One of our customer is currently using the BUK92150-55A in their existing design as the external FET for MCU core power supply (1.2V). However as the part is close to being discontinued, can you help us in suggesting alternate external FET or specific requirements of the external FET that can be used?

Also, what is the maximum switching frequency for  VDD1_G?

    Hi Jejomar,

    FDD8778 seems to be a possible replacement for BUK92150-55A. FDD8778 has the same footprint although there will be some different specs between the parts. I would recommend testing with this part before moving forward into production.

    I did not find a spec for this switching frequency in the datasheet, I would recommend taking an oscilloscope screenshot of VDD1_G to measure the switching frequency to get an idea of this.
