Hello.

Could you please specify the document, which describes differences between two versions of LM2936 LDO: LM2936M-5.0/NOPB vs LM2936M-5.0.

In our device we used LM2936M-5.0. What the risks have we to take into account if we would use LM2936M-5.0/NOPB instead?

From a functional and electrical specification perspective the devices are equivalent. The only difference between the 2 devices is the leadframe (LF) plating of the device. The LM2936M-5.0 has a LF plating of SnPb while the LM2936M-5.0/NOPB has a LF plating of pure Sn. This means the device ending in NOPB is RoHS/REACH compliant while the LM2936M-5.0 has exemptions to RoHS/REACH (due to Pb in the LF plating).
