Hello Gareth,

No, LM5176 does not have a power saving mode. It always operates in constant current mode. If you nee a power saving mode, please have a look at LM5175. This has the power saving feature, but no frequency dithering.

Yes, this is correct. With frequency dithering it is possibly somewhat easier to pass the standards in EMI.

What is the approximate temperature of the inductor?

Iout= 0.1A or 0A
Input voltage 9V~36V.
Output voltage 12V

Hello Garath,

On the EVM you can barely distinguish a difference to the ambient temperature at such a low output power.
