Hi
Please ensure that the AGND and PGND are shorted at a single place. It is better to show that in the schematic using a net tie.
What is the PTP5 in the schematic above?
Regards,
Gerold
Hi Gerold,
The PTP5 means a short at a single place, and I'll check the AGND and PGND, thanks for your reply!
Hi,
1. Recommend to add two more 10uF input cap. Since the input is 12V, the input cap's DC voltage is 16V and we need to consider the effective input cap value.
2. For FB resistors, to improve efficiency at very light load consider using large value resistor, too high resistance will be more susceptible to noise. So recommend the R1+R2 value setting to 10K, PR72 setting to 73.4K.
3. Recommend PC100 welding.
4. Checked the selected inductor Idc or Isat is only 5A. While our TPS568215 is set to ILIM-1 which min value is 6A. So recommend to use an inductor which both Idc and Isat higher than 8.15A.
Thanks,
Lishuang
Hi Lishuang,
1. Can I modify the PC25.26 from 10uF to 22uF instead of add two 10uF cap?
2. I'll modify these resistors.
3. What's the function of PC100?
4. The inductor Irms=8A/Isat=14A.
Hi,
1. It should be okay.
3. This cap is feedforward cap which is a common method to improve the stability and bandwidth of a power supply. The below link is an application note of feedforward circuit for reference.
4. From showed SCH, I checked the Idc or Isat is only 5A. If the inductor Irms=8A/Isat=14A., there is no need to change.
Thanks,
Lishuang
