Hi Team,

Good day, we received inquiry from customer and want to confirm regarding SM74611. For me to not miss any information, I'll copy the query below.

"It has been mentioned in the forums, that this part can be used for reverse polarity protection, where switching frequencies are not high. If the system is designed to have slow transients, this part will perform fine. Can this issue be addressed by having input and output capacitors?"

    For us to have more clarity on your question, can you please help with the following,

    • What is the application and what kind of transients can be applied to  SM74611
    • Can you point out to the forums where you have got the information regarding the reverse polarity protection functionality of this part at high frequencies
