BQ76952: Read OTP_WR_CHECK(Subcommand :0x00A0) has no responds in CONFIG_UPDATE mode

Hello Sir:

Following the OTP programming Guide, we want to use command for OTP progrmming.

But the read data of subcommand 0x00A0 (OTP_WR_CHECK) is always 0xFF in CONFIG_UPDATE mode.

Please refer the figure as below,

Step 1 Write command to enter CONFIG_UPDATE mode

Step 2 Read subcommand OTP_WR_CHECK

Step 3 Read OTP_WR_CHECK data, the return value is 0xFF

If we exit CONFIG_UPDATE mode and the OTP_WR_CHECK data will be ok.

Please provide the suggestions for us and let us know which points we need to pay attention.

Hi Richard,

I think this could be a timing issue - did you try adding some wait time before reading from 0x40. The OTP_WR_CHECK command takes some time to execute, so reading too early can result in a reading of 0xFF.

Hi Matt,

First, thank you for your suggestion.

I test to add the waiting time before reading from 0x40.

The OTP_WR_CHECK command can return value.
