Please read the test report below.

Through the analysis of I2C waveform by oscilloscope, interference ripple is found, which leads to I2C communication failure.

Testing environment:

Read I2C data through Linux system, the main power supply is not powered on, normal

Read I2C data through Linux system, the main power supply is powered on, abnormal, with 10ns falling edge trigger.

Please help to judge whether there is a quality problem in product BQ24735EVM-710? thank you very much.

    The following conditions are required in order to enable SMBus communication. Please verify the VCC and ACDET pin voltages:

     

    If that doesn't resolve the issue, then please try using an EV2400 and BQStudio to communicate with the BQ24735 EVM. For years, we have used the EV2400 and BQStudio to communicate with the BQ24735 EVM without any issues. This will be a helpful sanity check to make sure that your BQ24735 EVM can communicate successfully.
