BQ28Z610-R1: Inquiries before PACK assembly

Part Number: BQ28Z610-R1

HI Ti

The learning was completed using BQ28Z610-R1, and PACK assembly is scheduled to proceed.

I would like to inquire a few before that.

1. Can I change items such as Termination Voltage and Taper Current after completing the learning?

2. In general, do you proceed with PACK assembly and input golden image? Or do you enter in PCM state?

3. Do I need to perform calibration for each pack?

+ Can I proceed to Cal only the current and PACK Voltage after assembling the pack?

4. I would like to manage the serial number separately and enter it in the Fuel Gauge. Which field should I enter?

-I2C Configuration-Serial? or System Data-Manufacture Info

5. How can I check if Golden Image is correct?

Thanks

Jeong

  • Hi Jeong,

    1. Can I change items such as Termination Voltage and Taper Current after completing the learning?

Yes you can change these after completing a learning cycle.

    2. In general, do you proceed with PACK assembly and input golden image? Or do you enter in PCM state?

You will need to input the golden image before releasing to the field

    3. Do I need to perform calibration for each pack?

+ Can I proceed to Cal only the current and PACK Voltage after assembling the pack?

Calibration should be done on the final pack. You can perform calibration for multiple devices and take the average for each value to use in the final product.

    4. I would like to manage the serial number separately and enter it in the Fuel Gauge. Which field should I enter?

    -I2C Configuration-Serial? or System Data-Manufacture Info

You can change the serial number under Configuration Data

    5. How can I check if Golden Image is correct?

This depends on your application so we cannot verify if your Golden Image is correct

  • HI Jessica

    Thank you for answer.

    4. I would like to manage the serial number separately and enter it in the Fuel Gauge. Which field should I enter?

    - I2C Configuration-Serial? or System Data-Manufacture Info

-> You can change the serial number under Configuration Data

Q 1.  If I put the serial number in "I2C Configuration" Tab, is there any way to increase the number sequentially each time I program an image?

Q 2.  Is there any way to automatically set "Manufacture Date" to today's date?

Q 3.  When is the "System Data-Manufacture Info" item used?

    Thanks

    Jeong

  • Hi Jeong,

Q1. You will need to find a way to do this by updating the gg file

Q2. No there currently is no way to automatically set it to today's date

Q3. The manufacturing info block is used however a customer wants to use it.
