TPS25200: Design migration from TPS2553 power switch

Part Number: TPS25200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2553,

Hi,

I'm working on a design which involves migration from a TPS2553 power switch onto TPS25200 eFuse design since I'm allocation same board space for the DRVR package & there's additional input OVP and higher input voltage rating. Was wondering if there's any technical documents which might be relatable to design guidelines which I can refer to?

Also for TPS25200DRVR with discharge pull down, is there any use case limitation due to continuous discharge when disabled?

BR,

Leo

  • HI Leo,

The operating voltage ranges are same for TPS2553 and TPS25200 and also the package sizes are similar. So it should not cause problem in migration.

Also what is concerning you ? For designing using 25200 you can refer the section 9 Application and Implementation of datasheet.

Also, Output discharge pull-down  helps to  ensue a load is in fact off and not in some undefined operational state. I don't think that it will be a limitation.
