Hello Team,
LMR36503MSC5RPERQ1 shall be used at a VIN rail of 9-16V. The part will be enabled by an external MCU. In case of failure or Standby the MCU has a TRI-State at the logic pin output driving the EN pin. In this scenario we need to ensure the LM36503 does not turn on. A pull down resistor is required and we would like to understand what the max R value is we can use here. Background is to minimize the losses in standby. If Vin (Battery) is present but the MCU is turned off there will be a leakage current from EN to GND via the pull down resistor. The resistor needs to be small enough to guarantee the DCDC stays off but large enough to not dissipate power. How can the resistor value be determined?
many thanks
Lutz
