LMR36503-Q1: WE-MAIA SMT power inductor

Hi Team,

we plan to use the attached 15uH Wuerth transformer out of the WE-MAIA series in combination with LMR36503-Q1. Vin 9-16V, Vout 5V, Iout max 150mA. The DCR is higher than what we recommend in the datasheet, on the other hand we only need 150mA max. Do you have experience with these transformers in combination with the LMR36503-Q1? Do you see any concerns?

Hi Lutz,

Yes for 2.2MHz operation the 15uH should be ok.
The IC should work ok with your selection of inductor with 720mohm DCR>

I also check that the temperature rise on the inductor quite minimal even with full load of 0.3A.

In conclusion i believe this should be ok for your application. Let me know if you have further questions
