To PMIC or not to PMIC

Hello, here is some inputs using PMIC verses discrete solution

1- PMIC is more compact solution and it is beneficial for board space compared to discrete solution

2- PMIC is less expensive solution compared to discrete solution

3- PMIC solution has less parasitic impedances compared to discrete solution

4- Discrete solution has lower thermal impedance compared to PMIC because the parts are populated on larger surface area

5- Discrete solution is easier to debug compared to PMIC because there is access to each pin of the parts
