BQ21040: Regarding BQ21040DBVR charging circuit

We are developing system with BQ21040DBVR charging circuit to recharge VL-3032 Panasonic Lithium Vanadium Pentoxide battery. so, the query is can we charge VL-3032 battery with BQ21040DBVR recharging circuit. kindly, do the needful.

Hi Roshan

I think the charging voltage for the VL-3032 Panasonic Lithium Vanadium Pentoxide is about 3.4V.

The BQ21040 is designed for Li-Ion and has a higher charging voltage.

We do not have a charger designed for this type of cell.

Thank you for the input. Can you please suggest a charger for VL-3032 Panasonic Lithium Vanadium Pentoxide battery from other sources? if possible? because we are struggling to find one. So, please do help from your side if possible. Thanks in advance.

We do not have a charger for this battery, sorry.

But I did see that Panasonic has an application note that describes some charging options. For VL series charging options see app note AAF4000COL6.
