Hi Team,
I would like to get your input below regarding our customer inquiry with LM5175.
The customer intended application is to use it as a battery charger, permanently connected to the battery. This implies, that input voltage will be turned off, but output voltage will be present due to the battery. While the output switch is naturally in high-impedance state when the LM5175 is in shutdown, could VOSNS or ISNS inputs leak current from output towards the controller? In other words, are they purely high-impedance or do they have protection diodes to some other net inside the controller?
Let me know if you have any questions with the customer.
Thanks,
Jonathan
