Hi,
Is there any difference between using 10uF or 22uF capacitor for VIN and Vout capacitor of DC/DC converter
as a ceramic or tantal cap?
Best regards,
Jaeseung

Hi Jaeseung,
Each capacitor value and type have different impedance and effective frequency ranges.
For a DC/DC converter, there is typically a minimum required value and impedance for proper operation and stability.
What DC/DC converter part number are you referring to?

Hi Jaeseung,
It looks like the devices you are using are recommending anywhere from 4.7uF to 22uF of ceramic capacitors.
Refer to the device datasheets which are pretty straight-forward in regards to the required capacitors.
The minimum required value of CIN will be specified. Adding more than the minimum is ok. Make sure to place the CIN as close as possible to the VIN pin.
The value for COUT is determined based on the inductor value. This is also clearly calculated or selected in each device datasheet.
