Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO
Hello,
I have designed a 7s5p battery pack that needs to deliver up to 200A. I am using the combination BQ76930 + bq78350-R2. The maximum voltage drop on the RSense is 200mV, so for 200A, it would be a Rsense of 1mOhm leaving no margin. This means that if the value of Rsense, for any reason, increases a bit, we might be reaching the limit of 200mV and then the Mosfets will shut down directly.
At the moment I am using a Rsense of 0.5mOhm and it seems to be working fine. i am just getting this annoying message "value is beyond maximum value defined for parameter: Calibration.Current.CC Gain" when I try to write the parameters with the BQ Management Studio. It fails to write CC Gain and Capacity Gain because their values are smaller than "1", but when i run the CC calibration, they are correct (in my case "0.212")
My question is: Could this affect the rest of the functionalities? is it ok when I use this value of Rsense, 0.5mOhm?
Thank you very much in advance,
Jorge
