To Whom it may concern :

Currently I am making use of TPS61169 to drive ( single channel )  6x 6 Leds with Iled 360mA ( application 10.1" LCD backlight driving ) 

I noticed that the Tcase temperature is close to 78 degC at ambient temperature with a driving current of around 280mA and the current could not be further increased with Vref set at 0.2V.

(a) Based on the specification the maximum LED current is 400mA , is there any condition to achieve this ?

(b) How can i translate the Tcase temperature to Tjunction temperature which will trigger the IC internal protection at 100 degC ?

(c) Is there any way to further improve the thermal ? or I need to consider TPS61165 SOT_23 but the maximum LED current is the same 400mA ?
