TPS2595: TPS2595 as a LED Driver

Hi everyone,

I would like to use TPS2595 IC as a led driver with PWM. Voltage 5V and current will be several milliamperes. dv/dt pin is open. Is TPS2595 OK for this application ?

Hi Alikaan,

For LED driver application, you generally need to limit the current. Do you plan to set the current limit of TPS2595 as low as few mA's ?

Can you share the block diagram of your system for our understanding.

Hi,

I don't need limit the current. I'm just curious about driving the enable pin with 20 kHz PWM. Can I do that ?

Hi Alikaan,

eFuse devices are not suitable to be driven ON/OFF at frequencies as high as 20 kHz.

Test condition: = 2.7 V, Cout = 0 uF, EN Switching = 20 kHz

You can have a look at the TPS2595 EN switching at 20 kHz, the device OUT will not even startup.
