WEBENCH® Tools/UCC28C42: POSITION OF COMPENSATION CAPACITOR

Hi Experts,

I am designing a Flyback converter with the below specifications.

Vin: 18V to 36V

Vo: 24V @ 1.2A

Datasheet show R and C in series and both are parallel with One more C. But Webench generates RC parallel and in series with one more C. Which is correct? Attached images for reference.

    Thanks for your patience during the US holiday period and thank you for your interest in TI power management ICs. The correct implementation for your compensation is shown in the data sheet example. Here is a link to SLUA671 that gives a straight forward explanation for using the TL431 as a type 2 compensator in a CMC DCM flyback.
