Hi Ian,
There is a concern for the capacitor on the TS pin. Is there a particular reason for the capacitor on that pin?
If the desire is to configure the upper battery temperature threshold, please take a look at the Linear Charge NTC Calculator. Using a 10k NTC with a Beta value of 3370 configures the device for the JEITA temperature standard for Li-Ion and Li-Pol batteries. This keeps regular charging between 10C and 45C but disables charging from 45C to 60C.
Hi Anthony,
Customer would like disable charging in45 degree C, can bq24040 do it? If not, do we have others device can do it?
Thanks, Ian.
Hi Ian,
Apologies, the BQ24040 keeps regular charging from 10C to 45C and reduces the regulation voltage from 45C to 60C. If the desire is to completely disable charging at 45C, there is the BQ24090 which is similar to the BQ24040 but is in HVSSOP package 3mm x 3mm. I will see if there is a P2P device.
