Please help to recommend a new watch dog chip.

The timing of IC:

Description of requirements: Non-traditional watchdog; If the MCU does not make any action after the device is electrified for a certain time (counting period), the MCU will be reset. If the MCU has a triger in the clock period, the MCU will go through the following counting periods; Please note that the MCU will not feed the dog at startup, and the reset IC will have to start.

Hi,

Can you provide a timing diagram or a diagram of the application? I think you will need a window watchdog timer like TPS3430 for the application you are describing.

No timing required: not a common watchdog!

When the device is powered on, the timing chip outputs high level; If there is no action to trigger the timing chip in 3s or above, the timing chip needs to output a low level; If the timing chip is triggered in the timing cycle, it will not move.

The customer has tested the SGM820 and it can be used.

Below figures are the SGM820 timing diagram and watchdog timing diagram.

We do not have a watchdog timer part that behaves similarly to the SGM820.

Can you please take a look at the TSP3851 and see if it will work for your application? May I know the application details?

In your initial thread it was mentioned that MCU will not feed the dog at startup:

As Ajay has mentioned, we do have the TPS3851 that may meet the customer's needs but can you please share with us more details regarding the application. The TPS3851 needs a WDI pulse before tWD(min) for proper operation. See below:

So, the TPS3851 does not work for the customer? At this time, if the TPS3851 does not work, we really do not have a part that functions what the customer wants.
