TPS1663: About compatible products

Part Number: TPS1663

The current limit of TP16630 is 0.6A to 6.0A (± 7%). I would like to change this device to a pin compatible product of about 10A. Is there a device that can be replaced?

VIN is used at 24V.

The package is VQFN (24).

Hi Yachi,

We don't have 10A part in same package. You can use two TPS16630 in parallel for higher currents.

Example) Make the ILIM value the same, etc.

2.Is it safe to assume that ILIMIT will be 12A in the attached circuit diagram?TPS16630_SCHEMATIC.pdf

Hi Yachi,

1A) ILIM should be separate as per the device architecture to avoid disturbance with the current limit control loop

2A) Considering tolerances, we suggest to treat 11.1A as safe max load to support in 12A current limit configuration.
