BQ76952: Cell Open Wire issue detect

Hello Sir:

We search for command about Open Wire in the TI BQ76952 specification and only found the description of Settings:Cell Open-Wire Check Time(0x9314) command and Cell open-wire check(COW_CHK) in Battery Status(0x12) command.

Which command can know that the battery has a Cell Open Wire error ?

    Hi Richard,

    In addition to the sections you have shown above, the technical reference manual section 5.3.24 Cell Open Wire description may be helpful.

    The open wire test will pull on the inputs and may show up as a OV or UV on the cells, visible in the Safety Alert A or Safety Status A registers, or may show up as an SOV or SUV in the PF Alert A or PF Status A registers.  The faults are not specifically identified as open wire failures.
