BQ35100: About an external NTC use case

Hello team,

I may not understand well about a common sense for gauges, but let me ask a question below.
For an external NTC temperature measurement, it looks there are several variation elements which can generate a center shift such the bias(=REG25), internal pull down resistor and so on.
Is the BQ35100 expected to be calibrated by each part or each board in production to mitigate the center shift?
If yes, what is the best operation to calibrate?

Hi Shinya,

By default, the device is configured to use an external 103AT NTC thermistor.

Hi Nick,

Thanks a lot for the answer.
Allow me to ask one more question, from the technical reference, a factory calibration must be required by each unit and this is the right method to mitigate a temperature offset variation to correlate the temperature monitoring. Is that understanding correct?

Hello Shinya,

Most applications when the calibration is done to a sample size (maybe 20-30) boards, the average calibration values can be used for the rest of the gauges as long as the calibration values don't have much variation.
