About LED Driver or Current Regulator

Hi.

I am looking for LED Driver or Current Regulator that can easily adust LED brightness with a variable resistor.

Power source is an Polymer Lithium-ion battery, so input voltage is 3V to 4.2V.

I am going to use two Cree XLamp XP-G3 LEDs

They are expected to require up to 2A current.

Could you recommend a simple LED driver or Current Regulator?

These two LEDs are in series or parallel?

If they are in parallel, how about TPS92200? It's a buck LED driver.

Two LEDs are in parallel.

Input voltage range of TPS92200 is 4V to 30V.

but Battery voltage range is 3V to 4.2V

Can TPS92200 be used even when the input voltage is 3V?

Hi Son,

The minimum input voltage must be above 4V.

So for your requirements, it seems buck-boost topology is needed. However, we don't have such LED driver at present.
