BQ25887: Temperature measure accuarcy

Part Number: BQ25887

Hi team,

Customer is using BQ25887 in their design, and for the temperature, they want to know the accuracy. Could you help check about the internal temperature ADC offset error?

If this data is not available, could you let us know the temperature accuracy when test using EVM? Do we have such data available?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Will

  • Hi Will,

Unfortunately, TI does not warranty ADC accuracy in the same manner as a gauge.  Which temperature are you referring to, the TS pin voltage which is proportional to battery temperature or the internal die temperature. The internal die temperature has a typical LSB of 0.5C. For highest resolution, set the ADC_SAMPLE bits to 11.
