BQ76952: OCD throttling

Part Number: BQ76952

Hello everyone,

On our application we are thinking about using the OCD2 protection for throttling.

The idea is to set the fault threshold to, let's say 10A, the recovery threshold to 9.9A, and recovery time to 0.

The protection is working as expected from the manual, apart from the recovery time, which never equals 0.

I couldn't find a minimum recovery time in the reference manual, so I'm wondering why it's taking so long to re-enable the DSG Fets ? Does anyone have an explanation for the long off-time ?

Please see below - 100ms/div, green is bus Voltage at the pack output, and pink is an image of current flowing through Rsense.

I know pre-charge is enabled for now and should be removed for throttling, but my issue is with that off time over 100ms.

OCD2 parameters : threshold 35, delay 118, recovery threshold -9990, recovery time 0.

Best regards,

Baptiste.
