LP87702-Q1: what is the benefit to use external synchronous clock

Dear team,

LP87702-q1 has two clock options: external synchronous clock and internal clock. If using external synchronous clock, spread spectrum is disabled. Could you please tell me what the benefits are using external clock compared with internal clock?

    Hi, Sherry,

       Using external synchronous clock gives an option to avoid some frequencies that system is sensitive to the EMI peak caused from. 

       Spread spectrum is not automatically disabled because of using external synchronous clock; alternatively, it's still optional; user can enable the feature to reduce EMI further.
