WEBENCH® Tools/TPS53315: Rtrip resistor selection

hi,

i have shared My WEBENCH TPS53315 design publicly, beow is the link.

OUTPUT -5V , INPUT -12V, OUTPUT CURRENT -11A, FSW 500KHz

in that

Rtrip value for OCP -13.2A is 54.9k.

but when i calculate using below formula in datasheet i am getting Rtrip as 64.84K for 13.2A OCP

for all ceramic capacitors.

could you please check this and let me know is there any issue.

Hi Adarsha,

I think we should refer to datasheet calculated result so that Rtrip should be 64.84K for 13.2A OCP.

David will look into this for double check why the Webench doesn't match with datasheet calculated result.

The Rtrip calculation in the webench model uses the low temperature rdson of the low side MOSFET which is 5.9mOhm.

The datasheet value of 7mOhm is the typical room temperature value.
