bq24261M

With BQ24261M, the WARM and COOL thresholds are not independently programmable. The COOL and WARM NTC resistances for a selected resistor divider are calculated.

Is the HOT Temperature programable or changeable or is it fixed at 60 degrees C? based on the fact that RHOT (the NTC resistance at the hot temperature) is used as an input to determine RCOOL and RWARM.

  • Hi Gary,

The HOT and COLD trip points are set as a percent of the DRV voltage on the TS pin.  The %'s are in the datasheet electrical specs table.  You can use the equations to compute external resistors with those percentages to set HOT and COLD wherever you want by entering the thermistor resistance at the temps you want for HOT and COLD.  WARM and COOL change as a result.
