TPS25947: Question for behavior under disable and reverse current protection

Part Number: TPS25947

Hello expert,

I have questions for TPS25947's behavior.

First, I'd like to know about what functionality still alive under disabled by EN pin.
Under this condition, are all circuitry shut down and any pin is reset(FLT, AUX off) and just work as b2b diode between Vin to Vout?

Second, I'd like to know about detailed threshold of "fast" reverse current event and "slow" reverse current event.
Could you provide it?

Best regards,
Kazuki Kuramochi

  • Hi Kazuki Kuramochi,

When disabled by EN pin both the internal HFET and BFET are turned off. There is no connection between output and input.

A high level (> VUVLO) on this pin enables the internal power path (BFET+HFET) to start conducting and allow current to flow from IN to OUT. When EN/UVLO is held low (< VUVLO), the internal power path is turned off. So the current through device and output voltage will fall to zero.

    Status of FLT/AUX will be:
The device only has fast turn off response to reverse current. These are the thresholds also present in datasheet:
What does slow reverse current mean? I am not able to get it.
    Thanks for query!

  • Hi Kazuki Kuramochi,

Does the above answer helped you? Can I close the thread?
