Can you please clarify what information is stored in NVM of the BQ40z50 in its "Black Box Recorder"? Could this data be used to stored conditions prior to a cell/pack failure? How much history is stored?
Thanks,
Allen

Hi Allen,
The Black Box Recorder maintains the last three updates of SafetyStatus() in memory. When entering PERMANENT FAIL mode, this information is written to data flash together with the first three updates of PFStatus() after the PF event.
The black box can be used for determining the cause of pack failure yes, more info in the TRM chapter 3.
Best regards,
