TPS5450: TPS5450b EN PIN DISCRIPTION

Part Number: TPS5450

Dear TI Support

1. The voltage range of the EN pin in the specification is not found. Under the same conditions, most of them are 5V, but a few are 3.8V. Is it normal? Can the EN pin suspended chip work stably?

2. What is the difference between tps5450b and tps5450?

thanks!

  • Hi,

    1. The ENA pin has an absolute maximum voltage rating of 7V per datasheet specs. You should be able to provide external 5V or 3.8V or since this part has the ENA pin as active-high, you can leave the ENA pin floating to enable the part. Pulling the ENA pin low will disable the part.

    2. Can you provide reference to this TPS5450B? So far TI only provides the TPS5450 device.

    Regards,

    Jimmy
