Hi,

For TPS53659/tps53681, when phase num is larger than 3, is there any special requirement to power stages’ placement?

Can we put the phase 1 power stage between phase 3 and phase 2? The connection is phase1 stage connect to controller PWM1 pin, phase 2 connect to PWM2, and so on.

And is there anything to pay attention if the order is: phase 3->phase 4->phase 1->phase 2, from the left side to the right side in the layout design?(connection is the same as above)

It is a good practice to interleave the phase layouts, however, even 4 may not be really enough phases to make a big difference. The exact optimum order is dependent on the phase number, and duty cycle, but it is a good general practice to have no two adjacent phases firing next to each other. When it's ready and you've done a first pass, no issue to send to the MCS team for review.
