BQ25703A: BQ25703A charger current monitor question

Hi all,

 My customer use BQ25703A in their charger application. They want to monitor charging current through 0x29 and report it to their system. They use external current meter and see charging current is around 200mA in CV mode. But whey they read 0x29, they'll get 0x00 (0mA) or 0x02 (128mA) randomly in both continue mode (1S/time read) and one shut mode. It the result correct? Is there any way to improve accuracy?
