Hi

The customer wants to construct a circuit in the specification below.

BQ24133 was recommended, but they said they need a Cell-balancing function.

Can you recommend a suitable charging IC & DC/DC with good battery efficiency?



Input voltage: Lithium ion (3.7V) battery 3ea serial or parallel connection

Output voltage: 12V/2A constant voltage (Expected actual 12V 1A)

Charging current: 2A

    Hello Cho,

    The only charger device that has cell balancing feature is the BQ25887 which is a boost charger with 5V input and 2S Li based battery.

    Typically the customer uses a  dedicated gauge/protector to achieve the cell balancing.
