BQ76952: Internal temperature too high

Part Number: BQ76952

Hi Sir,

We have designed a BMS circuit with BQ76952.

But we get an error stating ,"Internal temperature too high", while selecting the option, check for OTP in BQstudios.

When we look into the "Register basic parameter display" in BQstudios, the internal temperature is showing as 40 degree Celsius approx.

We were able to calibrate the TS1 sensor, but calibrating internal sensor is always failing.

What may be the possible error and how can I handle it or avoid it.

Thank you

  • Hi Prabhu,

The calibration tool may fail if the measured temperature is too far away from the temperature you are calibrating to. You can go to the Data Memory screen and try to write the Internal Temp Offset parameter directly. This should directly change the internal temperature reading.

    Best regards,

    Matt
