BQ25601: bq25601 charge termination

Hi Expert,

I have two questions about bq25601, setting the charge voltage to 4.35V.

1. After the charge termination, the BATFET is still in on status. Is the normal behavior with BATFET?

2. From the below data, after the charge termination, battery voltage still increase a little. Is this the normal behavior?

    2. How do you know the charge is terminated?

    Hi Ning,

    The termination current is set to 120mA, and REG08=0X3C = 001 11 1 0 0 which should indicate the charge is terminated.

    REG07=0X48 = 010 01 0 0 0 , the BATFET_DIS bit is 0, which indicate the BATFET is enabled? Is my understanding correct?

    Hi,

    When the charge is terminated, the current can not flow into the battery, but the battery still may discharge. When BATFET_DIS bit=1, the current can't flow into or out of the battery in both directions.

    Please note that the device has top-off function. Please refer to 8.3.7.3 Charging Termination for the details.
