hi,
do we have characterization data for the TREG?
we will set TREG @ 60degC.
what would be the min/max range (spread from IC 2 IC once in production)?
thanks a lot in advance

thanks a lot Jeff,
i will look fwd.
Side question:
can the thermal regulation mode be used in place of the normal charging mode to reduce charging time, or that rather works in overlap to protect the device?
thanks a lot in advance
have a great day

Hi Vincenzo,
From the datasheet:
If the charger is in DPM regulation or thermal regulation during charging, the actual charging current is less than the programmed value. In this case, termination is temporarily disabled and the charging safety timer is counted at half the clock rate.
So, no, you can't use thermal regulation as a means for faster termination. Almost all of our chargers do this.
Regards,
Jeff
ok I see,
thansk a lot Jeff.
We will set 60degC as protection anyway, so please let me know (even a "by design") range in which the actual value would spread from IC to IC.
have a great day
