Hi Team,
A customer designed a boost converter using TPS61022Y. The input is 2.4V and output is 5V at 1A. Before he connected a load, he measured 5V at the output but upon connecting a load of 500-700mA, the IC burned. Two of their boards have the same issue. The schematic diagram and PCB layout seems correct except for the few vias in from the IC GND to the ground plane. What could have caused the failure?
