Hi team,
Is its output current adjustable according to the external MOSFET?
customer input is 8-38V, output is 12V,
What can be achieved when the output current increases? Is it to replace an external MOSFET with higher current resistance?

Hi Elisa,
Yes.Does the load output current capacity of LM5176 depend on the MOSFET current capacity?
Hello Amelie,
The MOSFETs of the full bridge are usually chosen taking into account their RDSon and their gate charge in order to calculate the power losses that they might cause and they also need to have a VDS high enough wrt to the VIN. The MOSFET also need to be able to sustain the maximum peak current of the circuit and the maximum dissipated power not to get damaged. Usually all these info can be found in the datasheet of the MOSFETs.
I would suggest to use the quick start tool to see if the chosen MOSFETs are appropriate for your design
Kind regards,
Elisabetta
