Dear teams,
My customer is using BQ24703 with schematic diagram showing in the attachment. 
They found:
1. Vin = 5V/1.15A; Single cell battery with voltage 3.87V. At the moment just power up, the charging current will go to 1.4A firstly, then drop to 1A around. No load connected (No SYS). For this case, they found the temperature of chip is pretty hot.
2. Now, the have connected a load to the sys. They found that the temperature is still too hot. As larger as the charging current, it will have hotter temperature. Once the charging current drop to 300mA, then the temperature won't be that high.
Could you help explain above two cases, whether it is normal? If it is abnormal phenomenon, how could customer modify their circuit?
